Gwen Leurini Joins Marcus Partners as Principal, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Marcus Partners, a real estate investment, management and development firm, today announced that Gwen Leurini has joined the firm as Principal, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer. She will also serve on the firm’s Management Committee and chair the Compliance & Risk Committee.

“Gwen brings a broad range of experience to our firm, gained across the commercial real estate and investment fields,” said Patrick Sousa, Chief Operating Officer & Head of Capital at Marcus Partners. “Her work will enhance our ability to deliver on our commitments to drive strong investor value and create a strong organizational culture.”

Leurini joins Marcus Partners after 17 years with AEW Capital Management, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President / Head of Fund Operations. In this role, she was responsible for financial management and investor reporting for $1.7 billion in combined assets. Previously, she served as the Controller for AEW’s value-add series of closed-end funds and served as Assistant Controller on their opportunistic fund. Gwen is a Certified Public Accountant and began her career at PwC.

A graduate of New Mexico State University, Leurini now resides in the Boston area with her husband, Jim and Labrador retriever, Jake. She is an active volunteer for NEADS, a local non-profit organization specializing in training service dogs to support individuals with physical disabilities, veterans, children with autism, and those requiring therapeutic assistance.
