Marcus Partners – Together With Munters – Inaugurates State-Of-The-Art Facility

Lt. Gov Driscoll Attended Celebration to Highlight Highly Sustainable Building and Benefits to Community and Workforce

Marcus Partners joined global leader in climate control, Munters to officially open its all-new flagship facility in Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA. The 430,000 ft.2 (~ 40,000 m2) site houses its desiccant dehumidification products and services, and other climate control solutions for the North American market. The project was completed on behalf of Munters by Marcus Partners which oversaw the entire development and construction process.

“Massachusetts has always been a place where innovation and hard work come together to create opportunity. This new Munters facility is exemplary of our revolutionary spirit – supporting hundreds of jobs in Amesbury, strengthening our advanced manufacturing sector, and showing how sustainability and economic growth can go hand in hand,” said Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll. “We're grateful to the team at Munters and to all the partners who made this possible.”

This investment is an important part of achieving Munters’ long-term growth objectives, with the ambition of doubling in size and halving its climate footprint by 2030. Marcus Partners demonstrated its build-to-suit expertise with an early delivery and on budget project with strong community and municipal partnerships.

“We are proud to have partnered with Munters, the City of Amesbury and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to deliver a facility that supports the growth of advanced manufacturing careers,” says Paul Marcus, CEO of Marcus Partners. “Our sincere thank you to Munters for entrusting us to develop this state-of-the-art and highly sustainable project, to Amesbury for its collaborative spirit and to state leaders for their steadfast support in making this project possible.”

To better meet the demand for precision temperature and humidity control solutions, this new, more sustainable facility significantly increases capacity, improves workflows, and supports the delivery of higher levels of customer service in Munters’ target markets.

"I am very pleased that the facility is in place. The inauguration is an important step in our long-term growth strategy and climate ambitions, where we are investing in regional production for regional markets. The facility in Amesbury is proof of that strategy, and with it, we will meet the needs of the American market,” says Henrik Teiwik, President of the AirTech business area.

The new facility has been built with sustainability at its core, achieved through the electrification of processes and equipment, significant energy efficiency improvements, and the use of renewable electricity, including a rooftop solar array. Additional amenities have been incorporated throughout the site, ensuring that a welcoming and inclusive environment is provided for all.

“We set out to design and build a new facility that would be an enhanced environment for our employees, be attractive for new talent, and better for our business overall,” says Andrew Cook, Senior Vice President Americas, AirTech business area. We’re very proud of this facility, and we couldn’t have accomplished it without the support from the City of Amesbury. We could not have chosen a better location.”

The new site houses nearly 350 employees, working in operations, R&D, sales, service, and administration.
